The Seahawks have tinkered with the practice squad a bit since Wednesday.
We’re one Sunday away from the Seattle Seahawks kicking off their 2024 regular season against the Denver Broncos. The initial 53-man roster has remained intact since Tuesday’s roster cuts, although that could change as soon as Monday when Seattle returns to the practice field.
It’s a different story for the Seahawks’ practice squad, which has had a few alterations since Wednesday. In the interest of keeping everyone up to date, here’s what the practice squad looks like as of Sept. 1:
Offense
- RB George Holani (No. 36)
- WR Cody White (No. 82)
- WR Easop Winston Jr (No. 13)
- TE Tyler Mabry (No. 85)
- T McClendon Curtis (No. 66)
- T Max Pircher (No. 69) – International Player Pathway exception
Defense
- DT Kyon Barrs (No. 73)
- DE DeVere Levelson (No. 98)
- OLB Tyus Bowser (No. 56)
- OLB Tyreke Smith (No. 59)
- LB Michael Barrett (No. 43)
- LB Patrick O’Connell (No. 52)
- CB Artie Burns (No. 23)
- CB Josh Jobe (No. 29)
- CB Faion Hicks (No. 30)
- S Ty Okada (No. 39)
- S Marquise Blair (No. 13)
Players removed from the initial practice squad
- OL Raiqwon O’Neal
- OL Garret Greenfield
As an aside: either Winston or Blair will have to give up No. 13 soon. We’ll update that uniform number as soon as possible when it happens.
What’s notable about this current PS? No quarterbacks. That will surely change soon, but for the time being the Seahawks are one of only a few teams in the NFL without a third QB either on the active roster or practice squad.
Teams with two and none on PS for now: ATL, BLT, LAR (Jimmy Garoppolo out 2 games on suspension), SEA, TENN
