Former Bills OL Quinton Spain: ‘Wrong person’ fired in Buffalo

Quinton Spain didn’t say a name but there is one that’s suggested: Sean McDermott.

Upon learning the news that his ex team, the Buffalo Bills, fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, the former offensive lineman for the team voiced his opinion.

Taking to social media, Spain replied to the report of Dorsey’s firing by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter by saying the Bills fired the “wrong person.”

Spain’s post can be found below:

Spain had his ups and downs with the Bills but in 2020 he was released in the middle of October. That was only six games into a three-year contract extension he signed with the team. He originally signed in Buffalo ahead of the 2019 season.

The offensive lineman posted some cryptic messages after his release, even saying “only if they knew the real reason.”

From there, Spain went on to play for the Cincinnati Bengals. In February 2022 ahead of last year’s Super Bowl during his media availability prior to the game, Spain said he and McDermott “did not see eye-to-eye” which led to his release and added the coach was trying to “mess up his career.”

All things considered, many think Spain meant McDermott.
